Scott Morris

Dr. Scott A. Morris is an accomplished professional with a PhD in Agricultural Engineering from Michigan State University.

He is highly experienced in the industry, serving as a consultant on various projects and directly engaging in diverse roles.

In 1992, Dr. Morris established the University of Illinois Packaging Laboratory and developed a renowned packaging research and teaching program.

A trailblazer, he became the first faculty member at the University of Illinois to introduce ABET accredited online engineering courses in an asynchronous, computer-based format in 2004.

His expertise spans a broad spectrum, from bioethics to engineering, with a keen focus on technology development in the food, pharmaceutical, and consumer packaged goods sectors.

Dr. Morris' contributions include advancements in large-scale informatics applications within supply chain management, distribution, customer response, and product development.

He is also known for his pioneering work in dynamic scanning infrared thermography (DSIRT) through his research laboratory.

Dr. Morris's specialties encompass packaging, manufacturing, production data analysis, food engineering, technology development, materials analysis, dynamic testing, and innovative problem-solving.

Currently, he operates as the Principal at Morris Effect LLC and has previously served as a Professor Emeritus at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
