Scott Modelski

Scott Modelski is a Managing Director at Black Bear Capital Partners in Chicago, with a focus on business development, structured debt, and equity transactions.

He brings over a decade of experience in commercial real estate, having worked with institutional and entrepreneurial sponsors on various transaction types like construction financing, bridge financing, DPO, and note purchases.

Prior to joining Black Bear Capital Partners, Scott served as a Senior Vice President at Alpha Capital CRE in Chicago, where he specialized in structured equity and debt transactions.

His background also includes significant roles at Wells Fargo Bank's Commercial Real Estate Group, handling Special Situations, Owned Real Estate, Homebuilder Finance, and Construction, Perm, and Bridge loan originations, amounting to over $1 billion in transactions across different asset classes and geographies.

Scott Modelski holds a BBA in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and actively participates in organizations like the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association, ULI, NAIOP, and the Chicago Real Estate Council.
