Scott McCreary
Scott McCreary is a multi-talented full-stack engineer and artist with a diverse background in psychology, music, and theater. He studied at Yale University, where he earned a BA in Psychology with Distinction on the Neuroscience track. Afterward, Scott went on to study Cello Performance at Rice University, where he received a Master of Music degree. He also completed an Advanced Software Engineering Immersive program at Hack Reactor.
Before embarking on his engineering career, Scott explored his artistic abilities as a professional actor in a variety of Broadway and National Tour productions, including Cabaret, Dirty Dancing, and West Side Story. During his time as an Orchestral Musician (Cello), he played at notable venues such as The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and performed with prominent symphony orchestras like the New Haven Symphony Orchestra and Highline Chamber Ensemble.
Scott previously worked as a Junior Software Engineer at the e-commerce company, Grailed, where he currently holds the position of Software Engineer. He is also a Co-Founder of Artists Who Code, a group dedicated to empowering artists to pursue technology careers.
Scott's diverse experiences provide him with a unique perspective as a software engineer, enabling him to bring innovation and creativity to his work. He specializes in the latest technology, including React, Rails, Redux, Node, Postgres, Flow, Sorbet, and MongoDB.
