Previously, Scott worked at Advatech Pacific as the Principal Engineer for Composites Technology, where he led and coordinated all the company's projects and CAE tool development efforts related to composite structural analysis. Before that, he was the Engineer for Design, Analysis & Manufacturing at Scaled Composites where he performed design, analysis, and manufacturing of advanced composite experimental aircraft structures.
Scott has also worked on various projects, including a novel, scalable hybrid rocket system, a Progressive Failure Analysis of composite sandwich panels for the National Institute for Aviation Research, integrating FiberSIM and MD NASTRAN for winglet design, design, analysis & testing for a composite blended winglet, design, analysis & optimization for filament wound cylindrical and spherical rocket oxidizer fuel tank pressure vessels, various prototype aircraft development efforts, Phoenix Cardinals Stadium Retractable Roof System and Movable Field, and the Crusader Ground Combat Vehicle Technical Cost Account Manager & Lead Engineer.
Scott holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Engineering Mechanics, a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, and completed his Ph.D. (ABD) in Aerospace Engineering at both Iowa State University and Arizona State University.
