Scott Kupor is a prominent figure in the venture capital and technology sectors, currently serving as the Managing Partner at Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), a leading venture capital firm. He has been with a16z since its inception in 2009 and has played a crucial role in its growth, overseeing its expansion from a small team to over 150 employees and managing assets that have grown from $300 million to more than $10 billion.
In addition to his role at a16z, Kupor has recently joined the Board of Directors at Formation Bio, a tech-driven and AI-native pharmaceutical company, following its successful $372 million Series D funding round. He is also an author, having written the bestselling book Secrets of Sand Hill Road: Venture Capital and How to Get It.1
Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Kupor is actively engaged in education and philanthropy, serving as a lecturer at Stanford's Graduate School of Business and participating in various boards and committees, including the National Venture Capital Association and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.1
