Scott Kreps is a dynamic community development professional and educator, with a strong focus on empowering disenfranchised individuals through healthy lifestyle programs, education, and employment.

He excels in engaging students in critical thinking on ecological and cultural advocacy, particularly in areas like outdoor recreation, equity & ecotourism, natural resources, and asset-based Appalachia.

Scott's expertise includes canoeing/swift water rescue and training local eco guides, and he is constantly seeking ways to connect people with nature while promoting environmental health and sociocultural equity.

His educational background includes a Master of Arts in International Affairs, a Master of Education in Higher Education, and a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Studies, all from Ohio University.

Scott has been actively involved in various organizations, serving as Faculty for Ecotourism and Adventure Travel at Hocking College, PR Coordinator at the American Midwest Center for Global Cultural and Educational Exchange, Site Coordinator at Kids on Campus (Ohio University), Guest Teacher at several schools, and Executive Director of Athens Mental Health Inc. dba The Gathering Place.
