Scott Kaplanis is a seasoned capital markets professional with over 15 years of experience. He holds an HBA degree in Finance from The University of Western Ontario's Richard Ivey School of Business. Scott is passionate about helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses through investment and advisory services. As a Partner at Groundbreak Ventures, he invests in exceptional innovators that are significantly changing the way we live and work.

Scott has played an active role in the venture capital and startup community. He previously held the position of Co-Chair at TOHealth!, served on the Board of Directors at QoC Health Inc. and Memex Inc., and was a Special Advisor at The Funding Portal.

Prior to joining Groundbreak Ventures, Scott was a Venture Partner and Portfolio Manager at Epic Capital Management Inc., and earlier, Vice President of Equity Research at Macquarie Capital Markets Canada. He began his career in finance as a Research Associate at Orion Securities, which later acquired by Macquaire Capital Markets Canada.

Scott's expertise is in equity research, asset management, and venture capital. At Groundbreak Ventures, he engages with entrepreneurs to help them scale their businesses and achieve their strategic objectives. His vast experience in capital markets and passion for innovation is an asset to the startup community.
