Scott Jackson

Scott Jackson is a seasoned coder with a strong passion for data-driven solutions, particularly a long-term expertise in SQL Server. With over a decade of experience as a database developer and DBA, he has worked on designing and managing databases for OLTP and EDW purposes, alongside analytics and reporting functions.

Scott's professional journey includes being the key developer behind a successful enterprise SaaS platform serving over 14,000 users with 4 patents to its name. His broad technical skills span beyond SQL, encompassing web development, full-stack development, the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), integrations, and IT security.

In addition to his tech background, Scott has a legal and executive experience, which he transitioned away from to focus on his true passion for database-driven development. As a solopreneur in recent years, he now seeks collaborative opportunities to reignite his team spirit and tackle challenges related to SQL Server, development, and data-centric problem-solving.

Scott's core technical competencies include a comprehensive understanding of SQL Server versions from 2005 to 2016, SSIS, SSRS, BIDS & SSDT, T-SQL (including Dynamic SQL), performance tuning, query optimization, database design, data integration, OLTP, EDW, ETL processes, Agile & Waterfall SDLC methodologies, IT security practices, business continuity, disaster recovery, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Visual Basic, Classic ASP, Windows PowerShell, and IIS.
