Optics Manufacturing Engineer

Materials engineer working on the application of advanced materials for the defense industry.  I focus on the implementation of optical materials and work with suppliers and customers to manage specifications.  I also work with the development of a large material property database, GRANTA, capturing data for design and modeling applications.  Other areas of focus include metal corrosion prevention and metallic powder processing.

Materials Engineer

Worked on glass characterization of commercially moldable glass types.  Studied glass properties to build a material-oriented mechanical model that identified glass behavior throughout a lens molding process.  Was responsible for thermal, mechanical, and rheological glass characterizing.
