Scott Clark is a managing director and co-head of investment banking in the financial services group at Piper Sandler.
Previously, he held the role of principal and co-head of investment banking at Sandler O'Neill + Partners, L.P., working on significant mergers and capital raises.
He has been recognized as the top investment banker in the U.S. for depository institutions by SNL Financial for various periods, handling a multitude of deals varying in size from millions to billions of dollars.
Clark has advised on over 50 bank and thrift mergers, with a total transaction value nearing $50 billion, and has assisted clients in raising several billion dollars through equity and sub-debt capital raises.
In addition to his transactional work, he provides strategic advisory services to clients, aiding in structuring and executing complex merger and capital markets transactions.
Scott Clark graduated with honors in economics from Harvard College, where he also played Varsity tennis and represented New Zealand in the Davis Cup.
Outside of work, he is a devoted fan of the New Zealand All Blacks, enjoying family time, watching sports, reading, and playing tennis.
Scott is happily married to Michelle, whom he met at Harvard, and they reside in Garden City, Long Island, with their three active children who excel in various sports.
