    Scott Carney is an investigative journalist and anthropologist with a passion for storytelling. He is the author of the New York Times Bestselling book "What Doesn't Kill Us" and has written for various publications, including Wired, Mother Jones, and Playboy. Scott's work is both ethnographic and narrative non-fiction, delving into complex subjects such as human organ trafficking, child trafficking, and blood farming. His other books include "The Red Market," "The Enlightenment Trap," and "The Wedge." In addition to his writing, Scott has worked as a freelance reporter for NPR, a contributing editor at Wired, and a senior editor for Manhattan Style. He has won several awards for his work, including the Payne Award for Ethics in Journalism for his story "Meet the Parents." Scott has a B.A. in English and Sociology from Kenyon College and an M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Currently, he is the CEO of Foxtopus Ink and a Former Senior Fellow at Schuster Institute for Investigative Journalism.
