Sayeh Nikpay

Sayeh Nikpay is a distinguished health economist and health policy researcher with a background in studying safety-net hospitals and their impact on low-income and uninsured patients. Nikpay's research delves into the effects of health care safety-net programs, Medicaid expansions, hospital community benefits, the 340B program, and healthcare delivery system changes on access to care for vulnerable populations.
Nikpay holds a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) in Health Management and Policy from the University of Michigan School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biology from Macalester College. She has held various academic and research positions, including serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and as an Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.
