Sayan Chatterjee

Sayan Chatterjee is an experienced and accomplished Engineering Manager who has worked with several organizations in the healthcare, finance, and technology industries, such as Ibotta, Wells Fargo, and UCI Health. He is a strategic thinker, data-driven, and result-oriented professional who has a proven track record of proposing innovative solutions and leading engineering teams to success.

Sayan studied Master of Science - MS at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he developed his technical expertise in Agile Methodologies, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Service-oriented architectures, among others. Moreover, he studied Leading with Finance at HBX - Harvard Business School, which honed his leadership and management skills, essential for driving product and operational efficiency.

Throughout his career, Sayan has contributed to building, scaling, mentoring, and leading engineering teams to support product and operations. He has extensive experience in the development and implementation of high-impact large-scale distributed systems and software engineering solutions, aimed at enhancing analytics, operational efficiency, and program effectiveness. He is also proficient in stakeholder management, recruitment, and team management, incident management, and executive-level decision making.

As an Engineering Manager, Sayan has built and scaled engineering teams of up to 100% in less than six months, achieved finance cost reduction of up to $1.2M, and have been selected as a guest speaker at international UGM conferences.
