Savannah Peters

Savannah Peters hails from Minneapolis, a proud Tarheel with a deep passion for social and economic justice, known for her optimistic and extroverted personality.

A strong advocate for progress, she excels in direct service roles, displaying a genuine love for working with diverse groups of people.

Her academic journey includes earning a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, with minors in Sociology and Social & Economic Justice from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

She maintained an impressive GPA of 3.718 during her undergraduate studies and previously excelled in academics during high school at South Mecklenburg High with a GPA of 5.43.

Savannah has diversified professional experience, serving as a Housing Director at Start Today Hennepin and previously as a Housing Case Manager at the same organization.

Prior roles include being a Nanny for a private family, a Fund Development and Communications Intern at Legal Services of Southern Piedmont, and a Program Assistant at the UNC LGBTQ Center.

Additionally, she has contributed as a Teaching Assistant for the Sex and Gender in Society course at the UNC Sociology Department, served as a Lifeguard at the YMCA of Greater Charlotte, and worked as an Office Assistant at the UNC Band Office.

Her experience also includes managing donation distribution and volunteers at Kids First of the Carolinas.

With a long-term goal of attending law school to specialize in public interest law, Savannah Peters is committed to making a meaningful impact in the field of social services and beyond.
