Savannah Badalich is a tech policy specialist and human-centered design practitioner who operates at the convergence of human rights and technology. Currently employed at Twitter as a Product Trust Partner in Trust & Safety, she collaborates with engineering, product development, and design teams to establish and preserve user trust across all products launched. Her primary focus is on the Topics feature and constructing robust recommendation systems. In her previous academic pursuits, she delved into studying how the features, policies, and algorithms of online platforms potentially contribute to the radicalization of white women towards white supremacy.
She pursued her Master of Arts (M.A.) in Human Rights & Technology at Columbia University in the City of New York. Additionally, she completed her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Global Studies & Gender Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.
