Saravana Suthanthira is an accomplished transportation professional with a wealth of experience in multiple areas of transportation including multimodal transportation, traffic management, performance assessment, travel demand modeling, arterial operations, managed lanes, and Intelligent Transportation Systems. With over a decade of experience as a coordinator for a countywide Congestion Management Program, Suthanthira has gone on to lead increasingly complex transportation plans and studies, collaborating effectively with various stakeholders including elected officials, technical and interest groups.

Suthanthira completed a Masters in Environmental Planning from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis, and a Masters in Town Planning from Anna University. As an experienced principal transportation planner at the Alameda County Transportation Commission, Suthanthira has also served in several other transportation industry roles including Transportation Planner at Caltrans, County Transportation Planner at Cochise County, Arizona, and Appraisal Officer at Housing and Urban Development Corporation, Government of India.
