Sarath Devarajan

Sarath Devarajan is a seasoned professional with a strong background in Investment Banking, Oil & Gas, Geoscience, and Business Development. He has extensive experience in A&D, M&A, Engineering, Type Curves, Basin Studies, Valuation, and the full A&D deal life cycle.

His Investment Banking and Operator Experience enable him to provide technical, strategic, and financial evaluation of O&G assets. Sarath possesses a unique skill set covering Land, Engineering, Geoscience, Finance, and Asset Valuation, including type curves, well performance and economics, geologic/reservoir quality, landing zones, development models, data mining, M&A acreage valuation, business development, and strategy.

With a prior background in Petrophysical and Engineering, Sarath has analyzed reservoir quality over 1500+ onshore logs and developed 300+ type curves. He is proficient in using software/tools like Spotfire, GIS, Techlog, and Perl programming.

Sarath Devarajan pursued his higher education by obtaining an MS in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.

He is a Founder and Consultant at Rockfort Energy, and has previously held positions as a Director at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, Vice President at Jefferies, and Petrophysicist at PetroTel Inc.
