Sarang Deshpande

Sarang Deshpande is a Data Analyst Intern at VALUENEX and a sophomore studying Computer Science & Economics at UC Berkeley.1 During his internship at VALUENEX, he worked on various projects, including analyzing text-based data, using the VALUENEX Radar to analyze specific material science areas, and participating in building generative AI solutions.1 He also helped prepare presentations for clients and used patent data to create insights for business decision-making.1

Sarang learned several skills during his internship, including:

1. Analyzing large amounts of data and finding insights
2. Collaborating with students from different majors
3. Combining materials science with data science
4. Understanding client interactions in a Business-to-Business setting
5. Presenting data effectively and understanding data rights1

Prior to VALUENEX, Sarang developed a Python-based budget optimizer tool to maximize forecasted client revenue by fine-tuning ad spending.2 He is currently located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
