Sarah Trevino is a talented composer, music producer, and arranger based in Los Angeles, California. She is the founder and head composer of Trevino Media, a full-service music studio located in Santa Monica.2

Early Life and Education

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Sarah Trevino showed a passion for music from a young age. After convincing her family to let her study piano at age 7, she continued growing as a musician and composer.1 2

Sarah graduated with honors from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music with a Master of Music in Screen Scoring, where she was awarded the prestigious Alan Silvestri Scholarship. While at USC, she was selected for the Thornton Board of Counselors Mentorship Program and was privately mentored by renowned composer Thomas Newman.1 2

In addition, Sarah graduated with honors from the University of California at Riverside with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She has also completed additional coursework in music theory, orchestration, and counterpoint at Berklee School of Music with a 4.0 GPA, where she now occasionally serves as a formal mentor.1 2

Career Highlights

Sarah began her music career at Universal's Elias Arts, a premier commercial music house, where she was mentored by famed composer Jonathan Elias. She eventually became the first and only female composer in the company's history.1 2

Over her career, Sarah has composed, mixed, edited, and produced music for numerous national brands. Her work has been featured on hundreds of tracks hosted by Universal and Elias Arts professional music libraries, as well as dozens of commercials for household names like Nissan, Infiniti, and State Farm.1 2

Many of Sarah's library tracks have been featured on popular TV shows such as American Idol, Saturday Night Live, and the 2016 Rio Olympics.1 2

In addition to her own compositions, Sarah currently assists award-winning film composer Brian Tyler and continues her relationship with Elias Arts as a freelance writer and vocalist.1 2

Trevino Media, founded by Sarah, is a full-service music studio that composes, produces, and mixes music across various visual content formats, including feature films, shorts, video games, commercials, trailers, and new media.2

The studio is known for providing outstanding film scores on short timelines while collaborating closely with directors to enhance their vision.2
