Sarah Smith is an accomplished educator and leader with extensive experience in the academic world. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction in History at the University of Virginia and subsequently earned a Master’s degree in Education with a Certificate in Teaching, Secondary Education and Teaching at Stanford University. Sarah also studied at Leadership Tomorrow, a prestigious leadership development program in Seattle, multiple times.
Throughout her career, Sarah has served in various key leadership positions at organizations such as Rainier Scholars, a nonprofit that aims to empower youth in the Pacific Northwest. She has worked as both the Executive Director and Associate Executive Director at Rainier Scholars, leading the organization's efforts to support students from diverse backgrounds in furthering their academic and career aspirations. Sarah also served as the Academic Director at Rainier Scholars and taught History and Humanities at Nathan Hale High School and Rainier Beach High School, respectively.
Currently, Sarah is a 9th Grade Coach at the Washington Center for High School Success at STAND for CHILDREN LEADERSHIP CENTER, where she continues to advocate for and mentor young students. She remains deeply committed to education and believes strongly in the role of effective leadership in unlocking the potential of young people.
