Sarah Mallery is an accomplished historical fiction writer whose focus is on exploring ancestors' past to learn from their experiences. With a passion for teaching, Sarah has studied Ryan Designated Single Subject Certification and Adult Education classes for LAUSD at UCLA. She has previously worked as an ESL instructor and member of ASMSG while writing fiction under her name Sarah (S.R.) Mallery. Her latest work, "Unexpected Gifts," follows the journey of Sonia, a college student striving to overcome her addictions and mistakes by learning from her family's diaries and journals from America's past eras such as the Vietnam War, Woodstock, and Black Power.
