Sarah Eskens

Sarah Eskens is a legal researcher with a keen interest in data protection, privacy, freedom of expression, right to receive information, news personalization, recommender systems, artificial intelligence, and regulation of intelligence services.
She pursued her education diligently, studying Gymnasium at Canisius College Nijmegen, completing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the University of Amsterdam, and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) at the same institution. Additionally, she engaged in studies at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, and Utrecht University.
Sarah has been actively involved in various organizations, serving as a lecturer at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) and while previously holding roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Information Law (IViR), an Academic Visitor at the University of Cambridge, a PhD Candidate at IViR, a Research Intern at The Consulate General of the Netherlands in San Francisco, a Research Intern at Rathenau Instituut, and in sales and editorial intern roles at Glamcult Studio.
