This can mean a big change like moving country or job sector, or setting up your own business, or a smaller change involving developing or adjusting a role you already have.

We identify and prioritise your values, interests, skills, natural strengths, preferred work environment and practical considerations and create a direction  - or test a few directions - that reflect these.  I help you create and follow your action plan and ensure you have the support you need to keep motivated.

We support local organisations and individuals in Bristol and its surrounding areas to uphold Bristol’s long standing tradition of welcoming and providing safety for all, including people seeking sanctuary fleeing from war, violence and persecution.

Broadway Lodge is one of the UK's oldest and most respected treatment centres for addiction.  I put in place infrastructure to strengthen the marketing and fundraising function:
- creating a shared culture of fundraising: I advised the Trustee Board  and SMT on effective fundraising strategy,  and inspired a trustee and the CEO to lead and populate a new philanthropy committee to make peer asks. 
- devising and launching the Save 100 Lives Appeal, a multi-year £1 million appeal which secured two major gifts within weeks of launching. 
- re-engaging former alumni and other friends of the  charity and managing relationships in accordance with best data protection practice 
- managing the design and implementation of a new website, active content marketing and social media programme, and pay per click advertising to raise profile and increase treatment enquiries.
- submitting capacity building bids.

At this social change consultancy, which specialises in the education and third sectors,  I helped a wide range of charities and social enterprises to clearly define their mission, and diversify and grow their income base  - through both trading and fundraising.    I wrote 5 year marketing and income generation strategies and  supported clients in implementing these through coaching, supporting the recruitment process for new staff, writing bids (securing 5 and 6 figure trust and statuory income) and shaping major appeals.

Clients included London Leadership Strategy, Teaching Leaders (now Ambition School Leadership),  Whole Education, the YHA, Think Global, Hestia and Peace Child.

I also project managed the Somerset Challenge - coordinating the support provided by National Leaders of Education to 37 Somerset schools to raise attainment overall, narrow the gap between lowest and highest achieving, increase proportion of schools judged good or better by Ofsted and secure system wide transformation by school leaders.

Wider World inspires young people from low income families to be everything they can be, and take full advantage of the opportunities the world has to offer. 

Our core programme is both intensive and highly personalised, taking primary-school aged children over a 6 month period, in small groups of 12, on trips and activities  which allow them to experience a rich range of worlds: science,  the arts, history, sport, nature and the world of work. 

By visiting city farms, workplaces, museums, parks and other venues, and engaging in activities like circus skills, orienteering, curiosity trails and teambuilding exercises, children develop broader perspectives, as well as confidence and important strengths such as empathy, resilience and zest which are shown to support success in school, work and life.

Founding trustee

I developed relationships with over 600 members - businesses, nonprofits, FE Colleges, universities and the four local authorities - raising retention from 55% to 82% to achieve net growth for the first time in 7 years. 

I was the public face of the Chamber at several networking events a month, increasing the range of events we offered by launching or revitalising the Export Club, Meet your MP series, Networks for Construction and a Masterclass programme.

Interim role to support the school in its launch year. Held events such as Open days and briefings for key influencers serving the expatriate market (relocation companies, Embassies, HR Directors and the media) to raise the school's profile and increase enrolment.

Marketing Manager

I was seconded to scope and implement a programmme to produce a step change in the charity's morale, reach and impact. I led a committee of leaders from multiple departments and regions to catalyse and communicate change. The initiative resulted in a refreshed brand, a new set of values to support engagement and culture change, expanded service delivery, a modernised, flexible approach to volunteering and  250,000 additional young people trained in first aid.

British Red Cross

Project Manager, Organisational Change 

Managed 30 staff and £4.5million budget, raising £28.5million gross via suporter acquisition and donor development campaigns, including legacy marketing. Led the "Uncertain Times" Red Cross Week campaign, which raised £2 million and won a Marketing Week Award.

Led the creative development and production of the British Red Cross's direct marketing campaigns.
