Sarah Blahovec

Sarah Blahovec is a disability rights activist and advocate known for her work in disability voting rights and civic engagement. She is also a skilled communications and social media professional. Sarah is the creator of Elevate: Campaign Training for People with Disabilities, a unique program designed to train individuals with disabilities interested in pursuing political roles.

Sarah pursued her education at American University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Studies. Her academic background laid a solid foundation for her future endeavors in advocacy and politics.

Throughout her career, Sarah has held various roles in prominent organizations. She served as a Civic Engagement and Voting Rights Organizer/Disaster Response at the National Council on Independent Living. Additionally, she has contributed her expertise as the Disability Community Engagement Manager at the Democratic National Committee, highlighting her involvement in mainstream political initiatives.

Sarah's diverse professional experience includes serving as the Co-Founder and Communications Chair at New Leaders Council Virginia, showcasing her leadership qualities and strategic communication skills. She has also been involved in advocacy efforts as the Communications Chair at the Voting Rights Subcommittee at the National Council on Independent Living.

Sarah has a robust background in communications, having worked in different capacities such as an Administrative Assistant at MorganFranklin Consulting and as a Freelance Blogger. Her versatile skill set encompasses areas like writing, social media management, and public relations.
