I recently accepted the position of Assistant General Manager in the lead up to, and opening of, Cannibition; A brand new Immersive Art Experience near the Las Vegas strip. I will be creating much of the operational material, hiring a large team, and ultimately managing the day to day of the largest ever Cannabis themed experiential art and events space.

As General Manager of The Perch, an upscale dining restaurant, and Oak & Ivy, an artisan whiskey cocktail bar, I was instrumental in the success of both businesses. Having written all training materials, I lead my teams to awards and accolades in both respective areas of expertise. I was responsible for all administrative duties and personnel at both locations, creating labor models and scheduling tools to lower labor and minimize any overtime. I worked closely with vendors to maximize sales while lowering our cost of goods, and took on many projects to improve reporting and inventory accuracy. The Perch and Oak & Ivy maintain 4.5 star Yelp! Reviews, with Perch named Top 10 Best New Restaurants by best of Las Vegas, and Oak & Ivy one of the 45 Best Cocktail Bars by eater Vegas, and Top 10 Best Bars in Vegas by the Las Vegas Sun Times.

I was hired as General Manager to open MOD Superfast Pizza’s 12th location, the first store in California, outside of their home state of Washington. Achieving two million dollars in revenue my first year, I superbly managed cost of goods and labor to become one of their most profitable locations. My store had an average customer satisfaction score above 98%, and maintained a 95% employee retention rate. We were the first certified training location, working with the corporate training team and my staff to develop a comprehensive training program for MOD’s rapid expansion of stores.

At Guitar Center, I ran five highly successful locations, spanning five cities. I created inventory systems that saved the company $80,000 in my first year. I moved quickly through the ranks from Operations Manager in Training, to Operations Manager, taking one of the worst operationally ranked stores, 240th of 250 stores nationally, to the #1 ranked store in one year’s time. I was recognized for my achievements at national meetings with Rookie of the Year and Most Inspirational awards, as well as outstanding Service awards two years in a row. I was promoted to Store Manager of a retail and studio location, the first of it’s kind. I created promotional materials to drive our student membership to maximum capacity, as well as developing new model sales and commission structures to better motivate my teams.

At Starbucks I learned the value of great customer service. I handled cash management and shift lead duties during the busiest time of day, five days a week. I was responsible for ensuring break policies were in place and did most of the supply ordering.
