Sara Kennedy

Sara Kennedy is an accomplished Communications and Community Engagement Director with a strong background in strategic scheduling and education. She has extensive experience in establishing and leading educational institutions, notably founding and directing the Imago Dei Neighborhood School.

Sara studied Political Science and Government at the University of Mary Washington, providing her with a solid academic foundation for her career in school administration and community engagement.

Throughout her career, Sara has held various leadership roles in esteemed organizations such as Veritas School, where she served as the Leadership Development Course Teacher, Director of Communications and Community Engagement, and Director of Marketing and Communications.

Prior to her work in the education sector, Sara honed her skills as a Scheduler and Special Assistant at the Office of the Attorney General in the Commonwealth of Virginia, illustrating her proficiency in strategic scheduling and high-level administrative tasks.

Sara also contributed her marketing expertise to international educational settings, having served as the Director of Marketing at the Tianjin International School. Additionally, she gained valuable experience working as an Executive Assistant for US Congressman Kenny Hulshof.

Known for her dedication to launching inclusive educational initiatives, Sara Kennedy collaborates with a dynamic team to establish a diverse liberal arts Christian school in Richmond's Northside, showcasing her commitment to fostering an enriching learning environment for students of varying backgrounds.
