Sara Gael is a highly experienced and compassionate holistic psychotherapist. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of Hawai'i System before studying Counseling Psychology for her Master of Arts at Naropa University. With extensive experience in harm reduction and transpersonal psychotherapy, she has previously worked as the Director of Harm Reduction for the Zendo Project at the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) and is presently a Psychedelic Harm Reduction Officer at MAPS. In her psychotherapy practice, Sara uses a variety of modalities including body-centered therapy, yoga therapy, and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy to help individuals, couples, and families with trauma, grief and loss, sexuality, couples counseling, and spiritual support. She believes therapy should be a co-creative process that guides individuals in discovering and exploring their unique path and purpose. To stay up to date with developments in her field, she also regularly attends conferences, workshops, and training programs.
