Santi Subotovsky

Santi Subotovsky is a prominent venture capitalist and board member at Openpath Security Inc., where he has served on the board since December 2014. He is a General Partner at Emergence Capital, a venture capital firm he joined in 2010, and has played a key role in leading significant investments, including those in Zoom and Openpath Security.123

Education and Early Career

Subotovsky holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Universidad de San Andrés in Argentina and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He founded AXG Tecnonexo, a SaaS e-learning platform, in 1999, which operated across Latin America and the U.S..12 His journey into venture capital was somewhat serendipitous; after moving to the U.S., he learned to navigate the venture capital landscape, which inspired him to help other entrepreneurs through his investments.2

Contributions and Recognition

In addition to his role at Openpath, Subotovsky is involved with several other companies and initiatives, serving on the boards of various startups. He is recognized for his contributions to the venture capital community, having been named to the Forbes Midas List in both 2021 and 2023, marking him as one of the top venture capitalists globally.23 He is also a Kauffman Fellow and an Endeavor Entrepreneur, reflecting his commitment to fostering entrepreneurship, particularly in Latin America.2

Personal Life

Outside of his professional endeavors, Subotovsky is a father of four and enjoys opera, classical music, and soccer, showcasing a well-rounded personal life alongside his business achievements.2
