Sankalpa Gamwarige is a seasoned innovative digital transformation specialist with over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. He has served as the Engineering Leader for over 250 top-notch engineering professionals of Zone24x7 since 2012, introducing various innovative digital solutions using an array of advanced technologies, including enterprise software such as mobile and cloud computing, big data and data science for analytics, prediction, and recommendations, cognitive machine vision using OpenCV and machine learning, internet of things (IoT) solutions with customized embedded systems designs, robotics & automation for sectors, including finance, retail, logistics, and manufacturing. Many technological initiatives and products developed under his leadership have won several awards, including Presidential awards, NBQSA, and APICTA. He is passionate about talent development and is a collaborative team member.

Sankalpa holds a PhD in Electronics & Telecom Engineering from the University of Moratuwa and has contributed significantly to many US patents filed and owned by Zone24x7. His academic papers on his PhD research have been cited widely. He has also contributed to several national initiatives and forums like SLASSCOM, EDB, and the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, among others. He has served in various capacities, including being a director of the Sri Lanka Institute of Biotechnology (SLIBTEC). Additionally, he's a former member of the National Science Foundation (NSF) - Working Committee on International Liaison, former member of the National Agenda Committee (NAC) on Digital Economy at The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, among other key positions.
