Sanjena Sathian is a multi-talented individual with a background in creative writing, journalism, and education. She holds a Bachelors in Writing, English, and Literature from Yale University, and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Iowa. Additionally, she has studied at Uc San Diego and The Westminster Schools.
With a passion for teaching, Sanjena has held various instructional roles at prestigious institutions such as the University of Iowa, where she served as a Creative Writing Instructor, and the Iowa Young Writers Studio, where she was an Instructor. She also shared her expertise as a Senior Lab Leader at the Summer Debate Institutes at the University of Michigan, and as a Faculty Instructor at Outer Coast.
In the realm of journalism, Sanjena has a wealth of experience. She has worked as a Deputy Editor and Asia Correspondent, as well as a Deputy Editor and Silicon Valley Correspondent at Ozy. Furthermore, she has contributed as a Kaiser Family Foundation Fellow in Health Reporting at Boston Globe Media and as a Paul Block Fellow and Features Reporter at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Her editorial capabilities were also showcased during her tenure as the Editor-in-Chief of The Yale Globalist.
