Sang Hwang

Sang Hwang, an accomplished professional with a diverse background, hails from Seoul, South Korea, and has pursued education in Washington D.C. He currently resides in Manila, Philippines and is a US citizen.

With a rich history of international engagement, Sang Hwang has actively contributed to the establishment of non-profit organizations in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, showcasing a passion for social impact.

Sang holds a Master's degree in Economics with a focus on International Development and a Ph.D. in Environmental Design and Planning from the Architecture School at Virginia Tech.

As a Visiting Professor at the University of Virginia, Sang Hwang has been instrumental in introducing courses on social entrepreneurship at the Batten School of Public Policy and Leadership.

His professional journey has been highlighted by a successful international career in the APAC region, specializing in business development, knowledge process outsourcing, and entrepreneurship.

Throughout his career, Sang Hwang has contributed his expertise to various organizations including serving as the Founding Partner at Horizon Resource Partners, Chief Operating Officer at Redsky It, and Global Coordinator at Snl Financial.

His academic pursuits include studying Economics and Design Philosophy at Virginia Tech, reflecting his multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving and innovation.
