Sandy Williams is the Founder and President of Organizing for America Glorious Days, Inc., a nonprofit organization established in December 1995. This organization focuses on empowering individuals, particularly those affected by the foster care system, and aims to provide support and resources to help them transition successfully into life after foster care.2
Williams holds a Master of Science in Administration (MSA) and a PhD, and she has dedicated her career to community organizing, advocacy, and social justice. Her work spans over 40 years, primarily in Spokane, Washington, where she has been involved in various initiatives aimed at promoting equity and community care. This includes her roles at the Pride Center at Eastern Washington University and the Spokane Youth Suicide Prevention Program.1
In addition to her organizational leadership, Williams is known for her creative contributions as a filmmaker and lecturer, focusing on narratives that uplift the Black community. She founded "The Black Lens," a publication that highlights positive stories and addresses issues affecting the African American community in Washington.1 Her commitment to community building and advocacy is evident in her various projects and initiatives aimed at fostering social change.
