Alexander (Sandy) Macdonald

Sandy Macdonald is a versatile and commercially astute leader with extensive experience in leading large-scale IT projects across various industries, including banking, manufacturing, and insurance. Sandy's collaborative approach to leadership has resulted in successful transformational projects with significant business outcomes. He has effectively managed and motivated multi-skilled international teams of over fifty people to achieve their goals on time and within budget. Sandy's expertise includes driving business transformation, service transition, project delivery, data center consolidation, IT upgrades, migration, change management, and business benefits realization. His efforts have delivered substantial cost savings and performance improvements. Sandy holds an MSc in Information Systems Management from the University of Stirling and a BA Hons in Politics from the University of Strathclyde. He currently serves as the Head of IT Major Projects at Wates Group.
