Samuel Boulanger

Samuel Boulanger is the co-founder of Kourai, a company dedicated to revolutionizing home health and security products with a focus on ending the child drowning crisis.

With over 3 years of experience at Intel Corporation, Samuel specialized in developing, training, and testing custom neural network architectures for embedded applications.

During his time at Intel, he addressed customer needs related to machine learning and deep learning problems, optimized popular neural network architectures for specific platforms, and created proof of concept demos for cutting-edge algorithms.

Furthermore, Samuel worked extensively with the Myriad2 and MyriadX processors for embedded computer vision applications.

Prior to Intel, he was part of the Research and Development team at FLIR Systems, where he optimized image processing algorithms, developed tools in Python for testing and memory management, and created interfaces for image data collection and organization for machine learning datasets.

He also played a key role in programming a split-view data collection camera for capturing thermal and visible imagery.

Samuel's passion for building transcends his professional work, as he enjoys reading research papers, creating deep learning applications, and has a background in iOS application development.

He taught himself programming and released an iOS utility app called '1stContact' on the app store, focusing on QR code contact sharing.

Currently a senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at San Jose State University, Samuel Boulanger is a dedicated creator driven by the desire to build innovative and user-friendly products for the benefit of society.
