Samir Chokshi

Samir Chokshi is a Partner focused on Event-Driven Equities at Antara Capital LP, a position he has held since June 2022. His extensive career in finance spans over two decades, primarily in the hedge fund industry. Before joining Antara, he was involved in various roles, including as a generalist event-driven investor from 2002 to 2017, and he has experience managing portfolios at notable firms such as Standard Investments and Polygon Investment Partners.13

Chokshi's educational background includes a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Florida, as well as a Juris Doctor (JD) from Georgetown University Law Center.24 In addition to his role at Antara, he is a member of New York Angels, contributing to committees focused on fintech and blockchain, and he serves as an early-stage investor or advisor for multiple startups across various sectors.34

His career also includes foundational roles in investment banking and corporate law, having started as a law clerk for a federal appellate judge and later working at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, where he was involved in mergers and acquisitions.4
