Samip Mallick

Samip Mallick is a prominent figure in the field of community-based storytelling, serving as the co-founder and executive director of SAADA. He has been instrumental in guiding SAADA to become a national leader in this area since its establishment in 2008.

With a strong academic background, Samip holds degrees in computer science and library and information sciences. He studied Master of Science (M.S.) in Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, History at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, and Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science at the University of Michigan.

Samip Mallick's professional journey has been diverse and impactful. He has worked on international migration and South Asia issues for prestigious institutions such as the Social Science Research Council and the University of Chicago. He has also contributed his expertise as an archival consultant for the Ford Foundation's Reclaiming the Border Narrative initiative.
