Sami Lahoud is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in leadership communications roles across emerging markets and the U.S. He transitioned from journalism to consulting to in-house positions, eventually leading the global external communications function for Mastercard.
In 2016, Lahoud shifted his focus to business within the Global Acceptance & Solutions group at Mastercard, where he served as the Senior Vice President of Acceptance Strategy & Engagement. Lahoud commenced his career in Lebanon after completing a Master's degree in Banking and Finance. His early professional experience includes working in the banking and insurance sectors of post-war Lebanon, which led him to a serendipitous transition into business reporting in 1997.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Beirut University College (now NDU) and a Master of Business Administration in Banking and Finance from the American University of Beirut.
