Sameer Sundrani is currently an M2 student at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, with a strong passion for combining medicine and innovation while embracing cultural humility.
Having completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University with a major in Biomedical Computation, Sameer graduated with Honors and Distinction in his major, conducting research under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Fire.
During his time at Stanford, Sameer was actively involved in various leadership roles, such as Co-Founder & Co-President at Perfusion, Co-President of Stanford Students in Biodesign, and Project Lead for the Second Skull Concussions Team.
Additionally, he has a background as a Nationally Certified Emergency Medical Technician, Stanford EMS Volunteer, CPR Instructor, and has showcased his skills as a debater, biomaterial researcher, neurosurgery researcher, and co-founder of the Myanmar Clinic Fund.
Having a keen interest in coffee, Sameer Sundrani has demonstrated a diverse range of experiences, from participating in Intel ISEF to being a Research Scholar at the Medical AI Lab at Harvard Medical School.
Furthermore, he has held roles at prestigious organizations like Genentech, Nextdoor, and University of California, San Francisco, showcasing his expertise in clinical pharmacology, machine learning, and various research collaborations.
Sameer has also been a part of research teams at top institutions such as the Fire Lab at Stanford University School of Medicine, the Yang Lab at Stanford University School of Medicine, and the Wang Lab at California State University, Fresno.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Sameer Sundrani has contributed to the community by serving as a Stanford STEMentor and being actively involved in CPR education through Perfusion CPR.
His educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine degree in progress at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Biomedical Computation from Stanford University, and dual enrollment at California State University, Fresno, along with completing his high school diploma at University High School.
