Samantha Stewart is the Advice and Response Manager for Safeguarding, Gender-Based Violence and Hate at the University of Manchester, bringing almost a decade of experience in the Higher Education sector.
With a strong focus on supporting students, Samantha manages a dedicated team of caseworkers who address a wide range of unacceptable behaviors, such as bullying, harassment, hate crimes, and sexual violence, making a positive impact on student lives.
Throughout her career, Samantha has been deeply involved in Students' Unions for 8 years, championing student welfare and now leveraging that experience to enhance specialist support and proactive initiatives within the Advice and Response team.
Her skill set encompasses leadership and team management, delivering quality advice in areas like sexual violence and hate crimes, project management, proactive campaign planning, training development, and utilizing data insights to drive strategic decisions.
Known for embracing new challenges, Samantha has successfully overseen diverse projects, including elections, campaigns, training programs, and volunteer initiatives, embodying a continuous learning and growth mindset.
