Samantha Cabrera Díaz MAPM

Samantha Cabrera Díaz, MAPM, is an experienced professional currently excelling in the Network Rail North West & Central Region Overhead Condition Renewals team as a Project Manager.

With a background as an ex-train driver, Samantha manages railway infrastructure projects, ensuring high safety standards, optimal value for taxpayers, and cultivating strong relationships with stakeholders.

She holds a Upper Second-Class BA (Hons) in Humanities with Literature and an APMP PMQ in Project Management. Samantha is also pursuing a part-time MSc in Programme and Project Management at the University of Warwick.

Her educational journey includes a Master's degree in Project Management from the University of Warwick, a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Humanities with Literature from The Open University, and studies in Law at Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

Having held key roles at Network Rail such as NW&C OCR Project Manager, Scheme Project Manager, IP Thameslink Programme Access Planner, and Engineering Access Planner, Samantha brings a wealth of expertise to her current position.

Prior to her railway career, she served as a Train Driver at First Capital Connect and held roles in customer service at Heathrow Express, showcasing her diverse experience across multiple aspects of the transportation industry.
