Samaiyah Farid is a highly accomplished individual with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in the fields of astronomy, astrophysics, and physics.
She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Astronomy and Astrophysics from Vanderbilt University, a Master of Science (MS) in Physics with a Space Science Specialization from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics & Mathematics with a Space Science Concentration from Alabama A&M University.
Throughout her career, Samaiyah has held various prestigious positions including Project Scientist at UCAR - The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research, Postdoctoral Researcher at Yale University, Pre-doctoral Fellow at the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian, Research Scientist III at University of Alabama in Huntsville, and Research Scientist/Astrophysicist at Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.
She has also gained valuable research experience as a Doctoral Student at Vanderbilt University and as a Summer Research Student at renowned institutions such as Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Berkeley Lab, Virginia Tech, and Alabama A&M University.
