Sam holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree and Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Cornell University, where he also studied General Studies in high school. His educational background has provided him with a solid foundation in computer science and engineering.

Throughout his career, Sam has held various roles at Uber, including Engineering Manager, Staff Software Engineer, Tech Lead Manager, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Engineer. His experience at Uber has allowed him to hone his skills in software development and engineering management.

Prior to his time at Uber, Sam gained valuable experience as a Software Engineer Intern at Originate and as a Teaching Assistant for Algorithms at Cornell University. He also worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Laboratory for Intelligent Machine Systems and held positions as a Computer Technician at Computer Professionals, Inc, and Bike Mechanic at Bikehampton.
