Sam Martin, PhD, is an accomplished educator, author, and voice-over professional with nearly 30 years of experience in real estate appraisal and instruction. He holds a B.Sc. in biology from Loyola University Chicago, an M.A. in anthropology from the University of Illinois Chicago, and a PhD in education from Walden University. Sam is a Certified Uniform Standards of Professional Practice (USPAP) instructor and has taught appraisal and real estate classes since 1988. He was recently awarded the Educator of the Year Award by the Association of Real estate Educators (AIREE.org) and is a member of the Illinois Coalition of Appraisal Professionals (ICAP) and the Real Estate Educators Association (REEA). Sam specializes in ethics research and publishing, appraisal instruction, textbook writing and review, and delivering classes online. He has taken advanced educational technology courses from the University of Calgary and Illinois Online Network.

Sam is passionate about fighting appraisal and mortgage fraud and has performed investigations for the State of Illinois. He has completed the prestigious Master of Online Teaching (MOT) certificate from the Illinois Online Network and is highly skilled in distance education, course design, instructional design, affective learning, cognitive learning, and voice-over work. He holds a patent for a business process implemented online and is available for licensing inquiries. Sam has been an adjunct faculty member at the Chicago Association of REALTORS®, Truman College, City Colleges of Chicago, University of Phoenix, and Superior Real Estate School.
