Sam Kussin-Shoptaw

Sam Kussin-Shoptaw is an accomplished professional with a strong background in communications, digital media, government affairs, and healthcare.

He holds a Masters of Arts in Communications, specializing in Media Relations and Digital Communications from Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs. Additionally, he pursued a BA in Politics and Government, Spanish, and Environmental Policy and Decision-Making at the University of Puget Sound.

Currently, Sam serves as the Director of Federal Health at Ad Hoc LLC, where he leverages his expertise to drive impactful initiatives in the healthcare sector. Prior to this role, he excelled as the Senior Program Manager for Healthcare.gov at Ad Hoc LLC, showcasing his leadership and management skills.

Before joining Ad Hoc LLC, Sam honed his skills at Bloomberg Government, where he held roles such as Government Affairs Data Team Lead and Legislative Analyst. His experience at Bloomberg Government equipped him with a deep understanding of legislative processes and data analysis.

Earlier in his career, Sam served as a Legislative Aide at the U.S. Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs, where he gained valuable insights into government operations and policy-making. He also worked as a Staff Assistant/Press Assistant for Senator Patty Murray, further expanding his knowledge of public affairs and media relations.
