While I wasn't looking to leave QT, NORDAM offered me the opportunity to be employee #1 of a new start-up subsidiary responsible for building the team, the product, and bringing PartPilot to market. PartPilot was an online B2B marketplace for buying, selling, and exchanging new surplus and used aircraft material. Thing of it as an eBay for aircraft parts. Responsible for all software, operational, and client relationship functions. Dotted-line responsibility for Sales. Shortly after existing beta and beginning to generate revenue, NORDAM filed chapter 11 which froze our funding and I had to shutter the endeavor.

After getting the Innovation and Integration team established, I was asked to quickly return to the Petroleum Supply and Trading group to prepare to assume responsibility for the retiring VP of Supply and Distribution. In this role, responsible for the terminal storage, rack, and fuel delivery functions and key vendor relationships. I was also responsible for fuel transfer pricing to store operations.

Petroleum Supply & Trading Manager

Pioneered new role for QT's IT department to drive deeper and more meaningful relationship integration between IT and the lines of business focused on technological innovation to fuel growth. In this role, I established and assembled a team of Business Engagement Managers aligned with the various lines of business and established the vision and strategy to embed these trusted experts from IT into the departments to better partner on technical solutions, shifting the IT department from "order takers" to "key business partners and solution providers".

Manager of Innovation and Integration

In this newly created role for QuikTrip, I provided in-depth macro and micro-market analysis on the petroleum and refined products industry. These insights and recommendations informed and influenced the fuel supply portfolio strategy, while simultaneously providing guidance for the broader company strategy on passenger and freight fuel trends. I was also one of six authorized commodities traders, primarily focused on managing our flat-price risk through balancing the futures positions while serving as a backup to our cash-market traders. My largest impact was developing a new long-term structured deal book of business for buy-sell arrangements along key refined-products pipelines.

Joined QT as a Design PM to relocate back to Oklahoma to be near family. In this role, I was responsible for the design and development of new non-store facilities, in particular building out the infrastructure for QT's expansion into North and South Carolina. I also led the design and chain-wide implementation of several large capital projects to drive sales growth or provide new service offerings in the stores. Additionally, I developed two new store format prototypes as strategic special projects.

Pioneered new role and established new team within Sales that integrated closely with Supply Chain. In the role, I lead a team of professionals and managers that developed, delivered, and managed a Differentiated Service Strategy designed to enable the aggressive sales growth plans while also creating a multi-year supply chain capability roadmap for our DCs and factories to deliver the service strategy.

Worked in lock-step with the project director to design, build, and bring online a 1.2M SQFT footwear distribution center in Memphis, TN. Responsible for the overall scope, schedule, and budget of the project, managing the critical path to ensure the project was delivered on time and on budget. Led key effort to define current and future-state capability needs by working closely with Sales and Operations partners to understand their growth and service strategies.

Responsible for engineering, process improvement, work standards, and forecasting for North American footwear distribution at one of two US footwear distribution centers.
