Sam Edwardes

Sam Edwardes is a Manager at Deloitte's Risk Advisory practice with a focus on analytics and innovation. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Master's degree in Data Science and holds a CA/CPA designation. Sam is also a Professional Scrum Product Owner.

Passionate about open source software and the data science ecosystem, Sam is highly skilled in Python and R. He leverages these tools to help clients uncover actionable insights and enjoys providing training to clients and colleagues on their optimal usage.

His educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Queen's University, a Graduate Diploma in Accounting from Queen's University, and studies in Management at Sabanci University.

Sam has held various roles in prestigious organizations such as being a Solutions Engineer at RStudio PBC and having managerial positions at Deloitte. Prior to his current role, he served as a Senior Consultant and Innovation Senior Consultant at Deloitte.

Throughout his career journey, Sam also gained experience in diverse roles ranging from Audit/Analyst at Fundata Canada to an Assistant Coach at CrossFit Queen Street. His enthusiasm for open-source technology, data science, and training make him a valuable asset in the analytics and innovation realm.
