Sam Battan

Sam Battan is a dedicated professional with a diverse background in education, policy, and leadership.

He holds a BS in Business Administration with a focus on Management, Entrepreneurship, and Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder's Leeds School of Business.

Sam is the Founder and Executive Director of the Colorado Youth Congress, where he demonstrates his passion for youth empowerment and advocacy.

His previous roles include Director of the Family Leadership Training Institute at Denver Public Schools, Policy Advisor at the Office of Senator Mike Johnston, and Director of College and Career Readiness at ReNEW Accelerated High School.

With a solid foundation in education, Sam has also served as a Teacher at KIPP Renaissance High School in New Orleans and as a Teacher Development Coach at teachNOLA.

Furthermore, he has held positions such as Policy Fellow at the Louisiana Department of Education, Founding Teacher at ReNEW Charter Management Organization, Managing Editor at the Journal of Marketing Research, and Manager at CB & Potts Restaurant & Brewery.
