Sally Uren

Sally Uren is the current CEO of Forum for the Future, an international non-profit organization focused on driving a shift towards a sustainable future by collaborating with businesses, governments, and other entities.

Serving as CEO since July 2013, Sally previously held the position of Deputy CEO for four years. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to sustainability, she was honored with an OBE in the 2017 New Years Honours List.

Her areas of expertise include system change, integrating sustainability into business practices, developing sustainable business models, promoting sustainable retailing, fostering sustainable brands, advancing sustainable food and agriculture practices, and utilizing futures tools and techniques to drive positive change.

With a strong educational background, Sally Uren studied at Imperial College London, pursued her Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Science at Dyson School of Design Engineering, and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Manchester.

Prior to her role as CEO, Sally held the position of Deputy Chief Executive at Forum for the Future. She also previously served as the Director of Environmental Management and Sustainability at Casella Stanger.

Known for her impactful talks on systemic change for sustainable development, Sally Uren is a respected figure in the sustainability and environmental science fields.
