Sakib Sauro

Sakib Sauro is the founder of Backpack, a notable cross-border marketplace, boasting support from renowned entities like Y Combinator, Khosla Ventures, and SV Angels. Under his leadership, the team at Backpack has grown from 2 to over 50 individuals, including 15 engineers.

With over 8 years of hands-on programming experience, Sakib has spent approximately 5 years serving as an engineering leader and manager. He thrives in roles that intertwine engineering, product development, and team management. His enthusiasm lies in the creation and expansion of innovative products and high-performing teams.

Sakib's academic journey includes studies at Notre Dame College in Dhaka, Y Combinator, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. Currently, he holds the position of Founder and CTO at Backpack.
