Marie Sahlsten is a pioneer in IT law with over 20 years of experience in the field.
She started her fascination with IT law as a young student in the 80s and continues to be captivated by technology's potential for the future.
Currently working at Bisnode, she offers legal support in system and service development, internal processes, including information classification, and conducts legal investigations and analyses.
Marie spearheaded and managed the development of one of Sweden's first legal databases, Rättsbanken, which is now known as InfoTorg Juridik, a crucial service at Bisnode.
Her expertise spans IT law, data privacy, GDPR, proactive law, information/content management, business strategy, monitoring new legislation, information search, access to government information, privacy by design, information security, compliance, data protection regulation, privacy management, analysis, and smart data.
She is actively involved in various IT legal forums, such as the Swedish Association for IT and Law (ADBJ/SIJU), where she has served as a board member, delivered lectures, and organized conferences.
Marie also participates in the Foundation for Legal Information and Forum for Data Protection, engaging with representatives from the public and private sectors to exchange insights and build a valuable network.
With a keen interest in societal affairs, she closely monitors new legislative proposals, demonstrating her analytical, responsible, positive, and approachable nature.
